Your hooks will appear here. Pick a platform and, if you like, one formula to get eight variations of it.
Writing hooks for LinkedIn
LinkedIn shows roughly the first two to three lines of a post (about 210 characters on desktop, fewer on mobile) before the “…see more” link. Your hook has to land inside that space. Posts can be up to 3,000 characters, but only the opening lines are visible in the feed.
- Put the whole promise in line one; use line two to raise the stakes
- Leave a blank line after the hook so the “see more” cut falls in the white space
- Lead with a lesson, a number or a moment from work, not with “I’m excited to announce”
- Skip hashtags in the hook; add 0–3 at the end if you use them at all
The formulas behind these hooks are explained on the main hook generator page, with 59 more in the hook examples library.

Questions
How long should a LinkedIn hook be?
Short enough to finish before the “see more” cut, which appears after about two to three lines. In practice that means one or two short sentences, ideally under about 150 characters.
Do LinkedIn hooks work differently from X hooks?
The formulas are the same, but LinkedIn readers respond to professional stakes: careers, teams, hiring, results at work. X rewards punchier, more opinionated lines.
Is the LinkedIn hook generator free?
Yes, with no sign-up. A small per-minute limit on AI requests keeps it available for everyone.
Will the AI make up statistics?
No. It’s instructed not to invent numbers or facts; where a specific figure would help, it leaves a [placeholder] for your real one.
